Summary:
As part of the overall improvement program for Okeechobee Road, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 6 plans a short term improvement project at the intersection Okeechobee Road and
Krome Avenue. This project is one of several related Intersection Improvement projects slated for Okeechobee Road and is designed to improve safety and traffic flow through the area.
Proposed improvements include:
- Installation of mast arm traffic signals for all approaches to the intersection
- Installation of advance warning beacons on Okeechobee Road
