Lane Closure Report:  July 20 through August 1, 2010
The contractor for the Palmetto Expressway/State Road 826 and the Don Shula Expressway/State Road 874 Construction Project will perform the following closures:

Closures on S.R. 826

• Up to two northbound and/or southbound lanes will be closed, 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 27, through Sunday, August 8, between Coral Way/SW 24 Street and Miller Drive/SW 56 Street for roadwork.


• The northbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway exit ramp to Miller Drive/SW 56 Street will be closed, 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 27, through Friday, August 6, for roadwork. Drivers going northbound on S.R. 826 can:

Exit at Sunset Drive/SW 72 Street, go east to SW 72 Avenue and then north on SW 72 Avenue to Miller Drive/SW 56 Street.

Or:

Exit at Bird Road/SW 40 Street, go east to SW 72 Avenue and then south to Miller Drive/SW 56 Street.

• The entrance ramp from Bird Road/SW 40 Street to northbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway will be closed, 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Monday, August 2, through Wednesday, August 4, for roadwork. Westbound drivers will be detoured as follows:

Drivers heading west on Bird Road/SW 40 Street will go west past the Palmetto, go north on SW 87 Avenue and east on Coral Way/SW 24 Street to connect with northbound S.R. 826.

Eastbound drivers will not be affected.

• The southbound entrance to S.R. 874/Don Shula Expressway will be detoured just south of Bird Road/SW 40 Street, 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday, August 8, through Thursday, August 12, for bridgework. Drivers will be detoured as follows:

Drivers heading south on S.R. 826 will exit at Bird Road/SW 40 Street and be detoured across Bird Road and get on the southbound S.R. 826 / southbound S.R. 874 on ramp. 

Closures on SW 40 Street/Bird Road

• No closures scheduled at this time.
